He was the co-founder of one of the first CO2 utilization companies in the cement industry. His career spans two decades in material science and innovation, with an investigative focus on reducing CO2 emissions in CO2 -heavy industries such as cement and concrete.
Sadananda Sahu, PhD
Chief Technology Officer
Sada has 30+ years of experience in the cement and concrete industry. His experience encompasses a broad spectrum in the cement and concrete industry, ranging from cement kiln operation, cement chemistry, admixtures, concrete durability, and concrete failure analysis. Prior to BatugaTech, Sada worked for BASF on construction chemicals.

Deniz is a strategy and market development professional with extensive experience in the finance industry overseeing strategic large-scale transformation initiatives managing cross functional teams.
Deniz has an MBA degree from the Wharton School with a focus on strategic management and ESG.
Uwe Eschenhorst
Engineering Consultant
Uwe is an experienced engineering professional who worked for the cement, lime, alternative fuel, recycling, and power industries. Uwe worked 10+ years at Polysius, a brand of Thyssenkrupp, a leading engineering company for industrial plants. Uwe holds a dual master’s degree in mechanical engineering focusing on fluid, fuel, and heat engineering, and in Mechatronics, and a bachelor’s in chemical/process engineering.

Massimo is experienced in public and private equity owned companies in the manufacturing and service industries. His experience covers the overall client service engagement coordination, including the evaluation of audit risk, determination of global audit scope, and analyzing financial statements and registration statements for technical accounting/disclosure and regulatory compliance.
